• Materials

Longshadow Products are manufactured in dry cast limestone, which offers the texture, appearance and durability of carved limestone at a fraction of the cost.

Dry cast limestone is a material that dates to Roman times. Its porosity makes it frost-proof and suitable for all-season exterior use. During the growing season, the thick porous walls of Longshadow Planters keep the roots of the plants cool and moist, allowing lush growth. During heavy freezing weather, the growing medium should be removed and drainage assured. Winter is ideal for seasonal displays of evergreen boughs and berries.
